After class I went home, locked myself in my bedroom and I started pondering my future and my career path. We mustn't forget how lucky we are to do this job even though it can be difficult. Children are people not targets! Studying to be a teacher is hard.
What motivates me about being a teacher essay
I knew I wanted to teach ever since I was a young girl. What other profession do you prepare people for all kind of different careers. Teaching is the best job. I love teaching. I know that after college, I will be a teacher, a guider, a counselor, and a friend to so many students. What motivates me to continue on is that I have felt the bitter cold bite of homelessness. I've seen what having a higher education can do for someone and I want that for myself and that of my daughters. I want to help them learn what they do not know. I want children to learn in a safe and comfortable environment so that their self-esteem will be increased. Funnily enough, my wife is one of my classmates that thinks that I will be a great teacher. It is not for those who want an easy job with 'a 12 week holiday' or people who do not like children. One teacher can change the lives of thousands of students.
Reflecting teachers very conscious of what they are doing throughout the day, they can even be self-critical about their teaching.
We are molding the next generation of lawyers, doctors, and scientists.
Teaching as a profession essay
When finances were against them, or time, or family obligations, or the dire depression of the camp life itself, or even government officials were against them, still those students attended, still those teachers taught. I feel torn between targets driven by government and knowing the children as individuals and giving them the best I can. Sometimes it's the best job in the world and sometimes it's the worst job in the world! Not someone who just demonstrates. So I study, even when I am tired from working two jobs or sick of not being where I want to be. Five years ago I worked as a manager in the financial aid department at a local technical school. Teaching is the best job. Students don't know how to think for themselves, how to organise themselves and how to meet deadlines. Out of all the teachers I observed, there was only one teacher who seemed to differentiate instruction. Decision making involves goal-oriented problem solving based on professional knowledge. I want the best for everyone. I want to help them learn what they do not know.

If the day ends and the student still has not understood the lesson plan, an extraordinary teacher would brainstorm. As a young child I imagined becoming a teacher.
When my time comes to walk into that classroom, my worries and doubts will be silenced by the knowledge I have mastered and the dream I have finally achieved.
